Unfortunately no. Laws vary from state to state so depending on the state it may be but I doubt it. If it's not illegal to breed than breeding for food probably isn't either.

Hey everyone ok so I emailed the Oregon humanize society and they sent me to their site for the Oregon animal cruelty laws handbook so I'm wondering if this craigslist ad is in violation here's a picture and a link to the animal cruelty handbook (broken link removed)

The only wrong done is to have that many bunnies in a horrid cage. Otherwise feeder mice/rats are meat for another. I guess it would be better if they were frozen to death and fed frozen but they are the same as the meat we eat.

As sad as this is, it is not illegal and other animals need to eat as well.

I agree, the housing is cruel, but according to the law of the area, these animals are in any cruelty or neglect.

Other animals need to eat, but that shouldn't be an excuse for feeder animals to be treated cruelly before their eventual fate. And in my opinion, the housing here is cruel treatment.

No it doesn't but if major corporations use horrid conditions, many other breeders will. I hate to say the last animal farm I saw picture of was Cuy farm for meat, they were housed much better. And we look down on non industrialized nations....

I have some free range farms in my area, they are nice to see.

Yes other animals need to eat vut why rabbits or guinea pigs. I mean mice and rats fine I get that but the others that's just horrid.

Why are they more special over mice and rats. The pet rats I had as a teen were so much more friendly over my guinea pigs. That is a kin to saying its ok to kill black people and not whites.
