    Angry Badger Culling

In the 'animal news' I though I'd post this. Badgers are being killed so less cattle get bTB (a desieze of the lungs) and the government wants badgers killed as 'pests' You could do something else like vaccinating badgers and cattle, couldn't you? Instead of shooting them as soon as they see one. True, some badgers do carry the desieze but most of them don't but still get shot What do you think about it?

I agree with that the cull is a bad idea as the badger is a key part of the British wildlife and ecology. Especially as they are not sure which way the disease travels whether its badger to cattle or cattle to badger but one of the key issues is they could vaccinate the cattle but this then stops the meat from being sold in Europe as they will test postive for TB so until the regulations change in Europe regarding the sale of meat the cull will still happen unfortunately.
