Bonding Chock and spike

went to the pet store yesterday and got the boys a willo ball, a bullrush ball, some dryed corn cobs that chock loves and some dandilion mix thing... they both love that...

how big do abisynian Guinea pigs get roughly???

The coat type doesn't affect maximum size, weight varies from one individual to the next. I have a tiny Abyssinian sow who weighs 800g, while her cage mate (also an Abyssinian) weighs 1.2kg. My sister has an Abyssinian boy who weighs 1.4kg.

took the boys to the vet this week to get their nails cut and the vet said that they are perfectly healthy and they are not over waight iether... so, i must be doing something rite...there is no signs of mites iether which is a good thing

chock and spike have recked the willo ball i got for them to play with
they've had it less than a week.... ah well, at least their having fun hey...

Mine always tear up the willow balls, I think that's part of the fun for them.

have you tryed them on a bull rush ball???
mine reck those in a matter of days...
think there is a sent put on theese toys to make the pig intrested in them at least thats my thery and i'm sticking to it...

I haven't tried a bull rush ball, I'll look for one, thanks for the suggestion. Ferb will eat anything, one of his favorites is Kleenex tissues.

the play pen is the best thing i ever got for the piggies... they loves their runs...
my 2 are a pair of doe balls and i mean that most fondly they just sat in the cage and let me stroke them for ages and ages...
was such a lovely moment just thought i would shair...

Spike is getting some size now...
He's almost as big as Chock...

took pigs to the vet on tuesday passed as spike had a slight wheeze that i wanted to get checked out but it turns out he is happy and healthy. He ways slightly more than chock and he is slightly smaller. He still has his crazy hair he is half rex coat and half abby. They both had their claws clipped and the vet said i was looking after them well as they arnt over waight or anything. He also said they were both very beautiful pigs colour wise and they both had nice bright eyes so i am well happy

Just a quick note to say that chock and spike are doing really well. It was their birthday at the week end they were born on the same day but a year apart from each other. They got some new toys and a new running space. Its bigger than my last play enclosure. They both love it.

the pigs are enjoying their holidays along with me
i am at a friends house for easter and he said i could bring the pigs as i dont trust anyone else to look after my pigs apart from me and my friend who i am staying with right now...not looking forward to going back home though...

my pigs love it down here as they are away from noisy cars and people... my friend is a soft touch when it comes to the pigs, he helps me clean them, he holds them, strokes them, feeds them when he thinks i wont notice lol he misses them when i am at home, he just cant get enough of guinea pig tv... :]
