I think they look wise, like the sages of the animal kingdom.They seem to like company anyhow...
Their laying-down poses look just like guinea pigs laying down. I'd love to meet a capybara.
Thanks for the link and the pics. They are very cute. I've read that they are very docile and easy going. But, if you are considering one - there's a blog about that too - sounds like guinea pig care x 100!

Yeah, I wouldn't want to own one. I think I'll stick to domesticated animals!

Wow, and we all complain about the hay that gets scattered all over the house - imagine having a BALE loose in the dining room! I hope they don't become popular or trendy as pets, as few people would have the dedication to look after them as they deserve.
