    Help stop rabbit torture - angro torture industry.

    Hey guys!

    As some of you may already know, the angora wool trade is a brutal one for the rabbits involved.

    http://action.peta.org.uk/ea-action/...paign.id=23870 this article, though from PETA, contains shocking evidence of the torture that rabbits go through to provide angora.

    The rabbits are kept in cruel, abusive conditions, tortured for their fur, and then murdered when they aren't of use any longer.

    Please be aware the video in the article is distressing, so please don't watch it if you think it will upset you too much, and just read the content instead. The video does not auto-play.

    I'm hoping you'll all join me in scrolling down, and signing your e-signature to help save the rabbits and end angora torture.

    Omygod I watched the first 30 seconds of the video- they way they do it is for one horrifying and two I almost cried before I stopped the video.

    That is absolutely sickening. Then i went back and turned the sound off. Not as bad but I am still shaking.

    I'm not afraid to admit it brought me to tears, but animal rights activism is a big part of my life so I try and get past it to help the animals.

    Hopefully more people will see this and sign their e-signature to help stop it from happening Thank you for helping

    This thread was posted the other day-- it's about a petition to make Zara -a UK clothing retailer- stop selling items made from Angora wool.
    It still hasn't reached it's goal for signatures so you guys should definitely sign it!

    Definitely signing! I'm in the UK and protested against another retailer - a more upscale, expensive designer type - to stop selling fur. It was mainly fox fur. I was assaulted by customers of the store, verbally attacked by police and passers by, but it was worth it, because they no longer sell fur. We can make change!

    Not to be racist...but these sorts of things are only in Asia.
    Excuse my language but how would the f****** would you Asians like to have your hair ripped out while being tied and unable to move?
    Then after five years they'll slit your throats then skin you.

    It's understandable to be angry at the continent as a whole, but you shouldn't generalise them as a group like that. It's similar to blaming all Germans for the nazi movement (which is just silly), or saying every Middle Eastern person believes in suicide bombing etc (again just silly). I totally get why you'd be angry at the continent as a whole because in some places they eat dog, most of them don't respect animals when they kill them for meat etc, so while I'm not personally offended, I would recommend aiming statements like that at specific groups of people, not entire races

    @pineapplepigs thank you very much!
