Unhappy Fleece sometime seems troublesome for me.

So i have 2 male piggies. Johnny and Jackie. Recently i've been changing their cage to C&C cages with fleece bedding. I did some research about fleece bedding and most of them says that fleece bedding requires once a week cleaning. But i don't see that as relevant in my situation because i need to clean their poos once in two days. and it seems that their poos are getting doubled bigger. can someone give me advice about their bedding? thanks!

A lot (I think all?) people who use fleece do morning spot cleans (sweeping up all of the poop) This way the poop doesn't build up too bad and them a complete change out every week

I scoop twice a day. Of course, how often you sweep/scoop depends on the size of your cage and how quickly poop builds up, but I find that when I get up and when I go to bed are good times for me.

I don't think anyone leave the cage for once a week cleaning. Maybe they meant to wash once a week. Most would recommend sweeping or vacuuming once or twice a day to remove poop.

I completely clean out my cage twice a week.

Don't forget that there are good reasons for why people use fleece... It's cuter, it's softer, it's reusable (saves money), it's less dusty, allergies to disposable bedding, asthma/breathing problems from excess dust. I use pine pellets in a part of my cage and use fleece for the rest of it. The pellets keep the odor way down and my pigs use their pellet area to go the bathroom most of the time. So for me it's the best of both worlds. You have to maintain and change fleece more often but it also takes a lot of time to scoop disposable bedding out of very large cages. It's really about what you want to do and what fits your lifestyle best.

I sweep my cages at least twice a day, sometimes more. I usually wash the bedding every three days. If I see a particularly messy fleece pad, I remove it and replace it. Sometimes some of the fleece pads are still pretty clean after 3 days but that's rare. I have two fleece pads in two cages and three in my biggest cage so I rarely ever have to wash all of them on the same day.
