I think you should separate your guinea pigs unless the other is a little boy too. Really looks like a male piggy in your picture.

@Aishwary Mehta, that's definitely a boy. If you have another pig and its private parts don't look just like that, please separate them immediately.

Re: Can Anyone Identify The Sex of my piggie??

SEPARATE them, now! Pregnancy and birth is hard on guinea pig sows in the best of conditions. They can get pregnant again within minutes of giving birth, and that's even worse on them -- carrying new pups while nursing the others and trying to recover from the pregnancy. If your sow delivers while you're not there, she'll be pregnant again before you get to her, and may or may not live through the experience.

If you want these two to be able to live together, you need to have him neutered.

You not only need a wall, you need a locked-down lid on his side of the cage. Male guinea pigs can be very determined to get to a female in heat.

Living side by side isn't as good as having a same-sex pal in the cage, but maybe when the pups come you'll have a male and a female and each can go with a parent.

They can hop on top of the box and get over to the other side. You should make both cages larger.

Pet stores are notorious for this sort of thing. Wow. I can't believe it! Sorry for your luck. :/ Can you trade him for a female?

    Trade at the pet store?

Although this seems like the right thing to do, I would never suggest trading an animal to a pet store. Pet stores cannot resell animals they get in return or trade, so their futures are inevitable, unfortunately. It's just bringing another guinea pig out of the pet store cycle to be replaced by a mill, which we know is bad.

Might as well give the male a pretty fulfilling life than make a back bred sow suffer even more then she has to.

I may have misunderstood. Wasn't this guinea recently purchased from a pet store where they said it was a female?

I do have to add that I hate the idea of supporting pretty store guinea breeding, but if nothing else they owe her a refund or a free pig of the proper sex.

i cant return him to the pet store, he'll not accept him.. what i'm thinking is seprate the female and male and wait till she gives birth.. after the birth if she gives both male and female (no matter is how much quantity) son will be with the male (or father i suppose) and daughters will be with mom... and acc to pet store owner their age is around 4 months.

Re: Can Anyone Identify The Sex of my piggie??

That's young if what they've told you is true. Everything might be fine, but please be prepared for the mom to lose the litter. Guinea pigs have a hard time giving birth in the best of circumstances and it seems (through my recent personal experience and much of what I've read) that it's especially common for very young mothers to give birth prematurely and for the pups not to make it. I hope your plan works out though and sorry the pet store caused you such grief. Papers shmapers... I think people should start suing pet stores for this kind of thing, then maybe they would stop being so darned irresponsible. They end up costing the pet owners tons of money and emotional trauma. Just awful.
