Hi, welcome to the forum!
You can buy seeds from health food stores specifically for sprouting. Go for wheat grass seeds. it is easiest to grow it in a shallow tray of soil, with the seeds just covered with soil, as otherwise the seeds have a tendancy to go mouldy, though the grass is fine. If that happens, just cut an inch or so above the seed layer. It takes 1 - 2 weeks for nice tall grass, depending on conditions, that you can cut and then allow to regrow.
You could probably grow barley and oat grass for them too.
Piggies LOVE grass! Mine are addicts, though I clip mine from the garden.
Good luck!
wow thank you that helped a lot I cant wait to grow fresh grass for them![]()
My pleasure! Have a good day!![]()
@binks937 - remember to title your threads in a descriptive way so people don't have to look at the thread to know what it's about. That's what these notes right next to where you would enter the title are about:
BE DESCRIPTIVE, but SUCCINCT with your TITLE!Create helpful titles! "Help!" and such are TERRIBLE titles and have to be edited by moderators. Do YOU want to have to click into every post to get an idea of what it's about? NO ONE DOES.
Calling it "grass" isn't helpful to anyone.
yeah I realized it after I posted it but I didn't know how to change it sorry about that![]()
Here is a GREAT thread by @madelineelaine about growing wheat grass indoors:
