    Is this CL post suspicious?

Is this suspicious or just some one in over their head trying to get better homes for their animals? Maybe my family could take however many are left and bring them to a shelter where they're no suseptable to be snake food...?

I don't know, but giving them away for free is like offering them for food to the wrong taker, especially in current times. Ugh. Some people just do. not. think.

I see it all the time on my areas CL. Not usually in that quantity but free guinea pigs first come first serve. People think of them as disposable and cheap so these things happen often.

I would (sadly) guess that the person is a guinea pig breeder who doesn't care where the poor pigs go. If you were to take them up on the offer, chances are that there would be additional (fine-print) costs that go along with it. If not, I'm sure the piggies are in horrible care if they are free. I would not accept the offer unless you could see and inspect the piggies first.
