Abscess Is there a cause of abscesses?

I'm just a little curious if there is a reason why abscesses happen in guinea pigs? My Niko came home from the petstore with on and now I think that Henry may have one? I tried to look on guinealynx for some information on abscesses and could not find any. I'm going to run a google search hopefully but for some reason my search engines are not working lately. I just want to know if there is something I can do to avoid them, or if they just kind of happen?

Pretty sure that isn't the case lol. Sorry I'm a nursing student, and unless I sit there and play with the pus from an abscess and have an open sore, I'm not going to get an abscess from it.

Ok. I just know I have heard that they are contagious never had to deal with them. At least not yet.

That last link didn't pull up anything, and the middle one just took me to a search, which I did. I appreciate the help. Henry's isn't under his chin, or his head which seems to be the common spot, which leads me back to it maybe being ringworm. UGH! I searched yahoo too (had to change something in the settings of my browser) and came up with the same information, or how to's about draining and dealing with them.
