Dominance Separation and re-introduction question

How long can piggies be apart before they begin to re-introduce and re-establish dominance? I take Cupcake for laptime and she sleeps and lays on me for about 2.5, sometimes 3 hours. Or I have her for a couple of hours, put her in the run around area and have Flickers on my lap (only 1/2 hour at most is all she wants). How long is too long apart?

I had to keep Kwee in a separate cage for about a month after her surgery, with no contact with the other pigs. I put her back in the cage after she fully recovered and watched for a while. They didn't do any of the normal introduction behavior, they just kinda acted like she had never been gone.

Thank goodness. I read some threads about separations and got worried I kept my girls apart too long. Cupcake does sniff out Flickers a bunch when they get back together
