    Toys for guinea pigs

We don't have that many toys for our piggies yet. We have a tube (which we are going to get them a PVC T shaped tube tonight if my husband gets home from work with the car early enough. We also have three little balls that are safe for chewing, and one has a bell in it, and another has a peanut in it. Also a hanging thing with some wood for them to chew on.

What kind of toys do you have in your cages for your piggies?

I have a couple cat toys which work perfectly! I had made this all natural cardboard ball with a TOMS shoe box, a toilet paper tube, and a couple seagrass and pretzel chews.

I have some of those plastic balls with a jingle inside, but they don't seem to take any interest in them. I'm in the process of making some more tunnels for them, and have sleeping bag for them to cuddle and hide in. They seem to be having enough fun chasing each other like little maniacs and pushing around everything I put in the cage. but I would suggest a little tunnel system, which I am currently making for them.
People also make fleece forests, cuddle cups, cuddle tunnels. If you go under the "Accessories" section of this forum, there are tons of craft ideas!

I hung up a washcloth as another hidey (they have another one that looks like a tree trunk.)

I've been thinking about getting PVC pipe, and putting it on the ramp, and doing a 90 degree PVC at the bottom so they can turn out.. maybe hook it to the T PVC that I'm getting.

I have a bird mirror, 2 kitty bell balls and this bird toy

The balls are a hit. The girls are always tossing them around the cage/I often have to toss them right back into the cage. The mirror, I find them licking the mirror from time to time. And Korra loves pulling, shaking, nomming and popcorning through the bird toy.

I'll have to look in the bird section at the pet store. I haven't gone through there looking for toys.

Do a search here for fleece forest. I also hung some scrap sheets of fleece along the side they love to hide behind.

That's great, actually! I will also look into the bird section. But my girls don't even seem to be remotely interested in playing with anything other than their pigloo and the sleeping bags.

I saw pictures of those. When I make cut up my other fleece for my cage I'll have to make that too. :-)

I have bird mirrors with bells, a small pet hanging bell, plastic cat balls with bells inside, and some small pet rattles that I can't find. Those were their favorites. I think I tossed them with the fleece. They would carry them around and shake them.
