Firstly the males and females need to be separated now, back to back pregnancies can be very painful on the sow. Secondly, just keep an eye on mom and babies to make sure she is feeding them all milk. A good way to keep track is to weigh the babies daily. The babies need to be putting on weight. If the mom happens to only be feeding two babies and not the third, than put the mom and third baby in a separate area for awhile. This will hopefully get the mom to feed the pup. Just to add guinea pigs need access to unlimited hay 24/7, fresh water and a good pellet. Along with a cupful of veggies per pig, every day. This will give your guinea pigs and babies a good, healthy diet.

To post a thread about the mom and babies go to the forum section, scroll down to medical and veterinary, click that and at the top there should be a sub forum for pregnancy and babies, click that and post a thread about this there. You should get quicker responses.

Thankyou I will buy scales in the morning (I live in Australia), but if the mum piggie isn't feeding one of the babies will it be fine over night, until I buy the scales and check. I gave her veggies,
grain and water. So how much should a 2 day old pup weight approximately?

There isn't really an approximate as all guinea pigs differ in sizes etc, but you do need some sort of scales, and weigh them as soon as possible as you don't want them to lose weight. Have you seen the mom feed the pups? If she has let all of them feed then they should be fine overnight, if you post a thread about this in the section I told you I'm sure a lot of people will be able to offer some more advice. As usually after the 2nd or 3rd day, if the pups are still losing weight you may have to hand feed. You can read about hand feeding at guinea lynx. It is a great website full of medical information.

Adorable!!! I love looking at pigtures. Rose reminds me a lot of my Marble. (The Aby in my avatar.) He loves getting his picture taken! Sometimes he walks up to the camera and yanks on the wrist strap like he's saying, "HEY! Let me take a picture now!"

, I was going to take another pigture of her in a cuddle cup earlier. But instead of staying asleep in the cuddle cup, she spotted me and ran towards me sniffing my hands for veggies. Oh well, maybe another time.

The weird thing is, I thought guinea pigs instincts are to run away from predators, or humans that happen to look like flying eagles correct? But with my girls, they will quite happily squeak and bite the bars for treats, and come running towards me when I approach the cage. They definitely know its me, they even sometimes let me stroke them in the cage. So why on earth as soon as I reach my hand underneath them to pick them up, do they run? Such confusing little creatures, but I have started to learn their techniques now. Rather than it taking me 10 minutes to get one of them out, I coax them into a cuddle cup and it takes me a few seconds.

Awww, she does! We have just started calling her Butterscotch now to, I think that will be her name. Butters for short. The only thing is she is really shy and scared of mostly everything. I have had her for around 10 months and she will come to my hand and eat veggies, like the rest. She will even come and sniff my hands, without any veggies there. But it is the handling that she has a problem with, she squeals and squeals like she is being hurt. Or will be constantly running, trying everything possible to get away. I guess after 10 months she might never change....
It's just sad to see her so scared, I thought about just not handling her no more. Perhaps that's the way she wants to live, I'm not sure. I have 6 piggies, so she socialises with them I guess.

You still need to handle her, some pigs it takes forever for them to finally come around.

I know and I have continued to try and handle her. I have just heard the phrase "Respect the guinea pigs wishes" too many times. It made me think that, if she really doesn't want to be held, after so long than I should respect that.
