You are so lucky to be able to have rabbits (they are so gorgeous) I so wish we
could have them in QLD.

I have 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 birds, 4 fighter fish & 19 guinea pigs.

Do you have pictures of your pets, Narelle?

It's such a bummer that you can't have rabbits (or ferrets!) in QLD. Rabbits are surprisingly different to guinea pigs. Their diet is very similar, but behaviourally, they're completely different. Rabbits are sort of like cats, but without the drive to pounce on small moving things.

@Narelle - how on earth did you get 11 guinea pigs to sit still for that picture?!

I have a DMH all-black cat with gorgeous golden eyes -- Piwacket. She's 12 and came to my doorstep when she was a kitten. I also have a DSH orange tabby who was my mom's until she died. Clawdia was found in a cornfield, eyes still shut, lying next to her mom and sibs who'd been killed (accidentally by the farmer, by my mom who took her in and bottle fed her and spoiled her. Pi is mouthy and spoiled and thinks she is the queen of the family. She also thinks my kids (6, 8, and 9) are her kittens. She grooms them, follows them around and checks on them at bedtime. She gets very annoyed if they start crying and works hard to fix it and make it all better for them. Clawdia's a little odd -- maybe because she was abandoned so early. She eats carpets and blankets, and she sucks her paws, lol. But she's affectionate and sweet, too, and we love her.

Then we have Leah and Smore, our piggies. Leah is white with a smudgy nose, and Smore is black with a little brown stripe on one side. Leah is outgoing and curious and very sweet. Smore is shy and timid, but she can totally be bribed with food.

We also have a 55-gallon aquarium with a 7"pleco, a molly, three guppies, three glowlight tetras, a Brazilian rainbow tetra, two danio, and a bleeding heart tetra.

I have a large house and 8 acres. The dog, cat, horses, crabs, and Amazon live with me full time. The rabbit, chinchilla, hamster, and Guinea pigs travel back and forth with me to work. They stay at work during the week and come home with me on weekends and holidays. The turtle and parakeets stay at work--except for holidays when the parakeets come home. The turtle never comes home. She's in a 110 gallon stock tank that is about to be buried in the ground outside, but is currently in my classroom.

I have one piggy named Kiki (short for Kikiriki, which means peanut in Croatian). I got her from the SPCA when she was 2 month's old, and she is now almost 9 month's old. She is a lovely pig, and loves to have her nose pet and ears rubbed.

And then I have one angel fish named Tiger shark. I got "it" from my hubby's tank because my father in law and hubby used to breed angel fish. Tiger is a wonderful fish, very intelligent but is more agressive than passive. Tiger is almost 5 years old! It's body excluding the fins is approx. the size of a soda cracker.

OH! i would love to have that many pets! in the past we have had 10 fish, 4 bunnies, i've lost track of how many lizards we've had wild and otherwise, 2-3 wild snakes, 2 baby birds that we re-released. right now we have one lizard, one goldfish (that is actually white o_O) two guinea pigs and one bunny.
