Re: Let's see your cage Pictures please.

This is our new and improved cage! There is a ramp on the outside of the cage that leads to the upper level. On the left hand part of the L shape is a 2×2 potty/kitchen area with multiple hay racks and water bottles. It is home to our five happy female guinea pigs!

Ok, as promised in the intro section here is our before cage setup
It's the oxbow Dwarf rabbit cage with pen;

Here is the new and improved frankencage. We kept their original home as they where very attached to it. THe still spend most of their time in the hidey in that section of the cage. Although when then need alone time they separate into the new section.

Re: Let's see your cage Pictures please.
Finally finished my guinea pigs "house" but they appear scared of the stairs... They are able to use it because if I put them in the middle they will go up, bit they refuse to do so on their own!
First time having guinea pigs... I hope I'm doing things right.

Re: Let's see your cage Pictures please.
Not an optimal cage size for two very spoiled piggys, but good enough for a road trip

Taped a carpet to a wooden base, attached casters and put the cage on top of it. The cage is attached to the base with four screws, one through the middle of each corner connector.

Re: Let's see your cage Pictures please.
And the whole thing is set up on top of 2 IKEA lack tables and, at my Mom's back-saving suggestion, pulled out a foot or so from the wall so I can get behind it for easier cleaning access:

Then, to cut the coroplast, I had to first mark out the edges of the plywood, then set the grid fencing on top and mark the inner edges of the grid. Here, the green line is the plywood border, the red line is the inner border of the grid fencing, and the yellow is the cut/score line:

Then I cut and scored the coroplast, folded and taped it into a tray, and viola!

And here it is after a haircut!

But I really felt like it still needed some extra height to the grid fencing, and I'm kinda hoping to get youngsters anyway. So I cross-hatched some extra grids around the support grids:
