Look at the loft and it should be pretty obvious. She probably isn't using sewn liners and is simply using a piece of fleece that is large enough to cover the bottom plus overlap the sides. You can secure the fleece on the edges of the coro with binder clips or by tucking it in around the edges and bottom. Occasionally, people are industrious and make a sewn liner for the bottom and then sew a separate piece to cover the sides........but that seems like a lot of work and creativity.

I have 3 piggies. Two of them are around 3 years old and the third one is 4 years old, names are Albus, Grimm, and Rubeus. They used to have C&C cages, but I just recently converted my spare bedroom into a gpig room! I put a large tarp over the floor and baseboards, with foam mats on top of that, and then put blankets over the mats and puppy pads in high traffic areas and underneath hideouts.

This is awesome! When we eventually move to a bigger place, I plan to do something similar for my girls XD

Here is mine for my 2 girls. I want to give them more space, but I don't have the room space to do so. Soon enough though, I'm going to add an upper level for them

Regardless, here it is... a piggy palace!

    Attachment 81365Attachment 81366Attachment 81367Attachment 81368Attachment 81369

2x8 grid base, a 2x2 loft and an L-shaped 2x4x3 loft, as well as two 1x2 feeding lofts. There's also a built in tube run and a balcony. Additionally, I've upped the safety features, adding more support bars and internal grids so that the pigs cannot possibly fall anywhere. There's also an under-croft for storing pig supplies.

Cleaning is only marginally harder, the cage must now be pulled away from the wall to clean the biggest loft fully, and also to slide out the bottom layer.

    Never again!
What a fantastic home you've given them. They are lucky to have you.

Please be careful with that log. If it the one I am thinking of it is full of sugar and the guinea pigs may eat too much of it and have health issues like diabetes. It is a great space for your girls!

Thanks for the heads up! Its called a snack shack I believe. It came with them when I got them. But honestly they maybe only have chewed it like once or twice since I've had them. I've just kept it in as decoration haha. But I will more than likely end up removing it soon now, just to be safe. Don't want my girls getting sick.

I've been getting ideas from here a lot and I thought it might be time for me to share. I have 3 girls and a neutered male. When I started I made a 2x3 then quickly upgraded to a 2x4 then moving some furniture around I was able to switch to a 2x5 between the wall and sofa. Now by moving in another direction, they have a 2x7 which I absolutely love. They love it since there's room for eating, sleeping, drinking and running around all without bumping into each other.

Just finished up my cage and stand. I am new to the world of guinea pigs, and this will be the home to 3 baby male skinny pigs in a few short weeks. I'd appreciate your thoughts ....Click image for larger version.

Ignore the mess and mismatched fleece, yesterday was laundry day so they got what was left over and still clean until I can wash the rest - ! Just a simple 2x4 until we move next month. I bought the extra grids to make it 3 by 5 but we don't quite have the room yet Click image for larger version.

Re: Let's see your cage Pictures please.

Just finished new digs for our rescue piggies. Old digs there on the floor for comparison. We'll clean that up and save it for a travel cage. New digs feature washable fleece flooring atop absorbant material, a separate dining area with built-in hay feeder, ground-level storage, a grass hideaway, and a variety of chew toys. The dining area includes a removable tray for easy cleaning. A second tray is available to switch with the dirty one. I plan to add a "fleece forest" in the back corner and some cozy fleece beds soon.

Hey guys! We are sooooo excited about our huge custom built 9' x 4' cat-proof & dog-proof wooden cage. It took us like 5 weekends but we have 5 piggies and they couldn't be happier. The cage was pretty affordable and made with mostly 2x2s, 4x4s, and mesh. Check it out below!
