There were so many free guinea pigs that guinea pigs with health or behavioural issues were difficult to rehome. So I took them in. Until I had my (now ex) husband arrested for throwing our 15 month old son, 3 year old son, and punching me. I live in a much smaller apt now and had to rehome the nicer pigs and 3 passed from a mysterious illness. It was a hard spring, summer and fall for my family that year. But that was almost 2 years ago now. Things are a little better...
I hope all is well now. 2x12 sheesh that is SOME cage you got there! Well done!

Cool Re: Let's see your cage Pictures please.

Ok after 4 hours of cleaning fixing and moving things around. Here is Wilber and Spot's New cage system for now till I get another bright idea...

I guess you can say is 3x4 with a partition in the middle

Sorry the pics are kinda blurry my Camera really is crappy

    Spot checking out the digs

    Wilber munching as usual

Spot doing his thing loving the space popcorning

Now these peaces of fleece are just till I get the others ones washed and cleaned up than I put there full ones in. If i can get them to stop going under them it be great .

hmmm i never heard of C7C I kinda like the set up.What is it made of ? the peek thruogh holes look small like for a hamster. Do they fit thruogh it with out issues ?

    I'm pretty sure @Squint96 meant C&C.

P.S. The "&" symbol is on the same key as the 7 Just a simple spelling error haha.

oh .HAHA.Well still thsi set up is awesome would love to know the materials used for this cage.Squint96 did an awesome job with it.

Haha, yeah I meant that C&C cages are better- funny when i typed it it was C7C but I went back to fix it- apparently I didn't.
Anyways, its just plywood and plexiglass- but I don't suggest it- it is expensive, and hard to build, you have to paint it to keep water out of the wood, the holes have to have PVC pipe so the piggies don't eat the edges with paint, and once it is built you can't really make it bigger or smaller. But yes, it looks nice in a room

Wow i would have thuoght it was some sort of plastic or pvc .Very creative ! My hubby owrks for a home remodeling place.I would not worry on cost to much. But true you can't make it smaller or bigger. It is still great work your piggies must love it !

Finally, here's the girl's new cage! I'm so excited for it! They were so happy when I put them in, pop corning and running around. They've been fighting for a little bit in their old cage, but they've been in their new cage for a couple hours, and no rumbstrutting yet! They're so much easier to watch without a top, they're so interesting! And it's much easier to just reach in and give them a quick pet.

Sadly it still wasn't big enough to keep Zoloft and Xanax from fighting, so unfortunately I had to re-home him. But I still have my three troublesome teenagers...yeesh!

Side note: does anyone know of a place where to get the little connectors cheap in Minnesota? I find them online everywhere, but then they want to charge you twice as much for shipping.

Use zip ties. Their cheap and even stronger.

I agree. My cage is made entirely out of zip ties, except the base, and it's perfectly strong.

I love your cage. I would add some lighting in the bottom.
