Moved the upper level to outside of the cage perimeter. It was getting too cluttered... Am much happier with this layout... Though I had to use my floor time grids to do it! Off to spotlight tomorrow to get some more! Hehehe

I love it monkey. I'd put the upstairs hay rack up higher or attach coroplast to the ends.
The guineas could get inside and get a foot caught :'(

It's been 3 weeks since Lightning was neutered so today I finally got around to re-configuring their cages and tomorrow I plan on re-introducing them and taking out the one grid that separates the two cages!!

*edit* Any ideas for a ramp type thing to go over my coroplast so I don't have to cut it?

How exciting!! You could always bend a grid and cover it for a ramp

I'm SUPER excited! I wanted to do it today but a vet visit turned out to be a 3 hour adventure (between the visit itself and traffic) so I only had time to finish the cage before it was my daughter's bed time and I figured I'm better off waiting until tomorrow so I have all day to be sure they're not fighting!

I was thinking of trying to find a way to cover the tunnel hidey in the lower left portion of the picture and turn it into a "bridge" but I'm thinking the sides might be too steep. I hadn't considered a bent grid, but I'd be worried about bumble foot with that Hmm... I can always go get some fiddle sticks but those things aren't cheap and I don't really want to spend money at pet smart or petco and it'll take a while to get here from amazon....

I would cover the grid with an extra piece of coroplast and fleece if you have some.. I wouldn't use the bare grid.. Sorry I wasn't clear.. fiddle sticks are another good idea.. I think there is a photo category on ramps/bridges :-)

Wow, I didn't even think of coroplast!! I even have some extra that would probably work! I might just try bending the coroplast and covering it with fleece. I'll check into the ramps/bridges section of photos tomorrow, right now it's sleepy time before I fall asleep here on the couch and begin drooling on my keyboard!

    Thanks for the awesome ideas!!

I've seen users using those wooden "bridges".....

Here's an example of one: Photo belongs to Boofp

@schavarry, You could try instead of making a bridge, putting a paver or smooth-ish brick either side of the coroplast to make steps of some description. I have two coroplast trays joined together and that's what I do. Just another idea anyway.

Have attached picture of cage for my two piggies. Fleeces changed daily and layout slightly to keep them amused

This is my cage! A 2x6 for my two boys. Lots of hideys, lots of places to play! Pierre is under the orange and blue dinosaur blanket in the back. Fish is in the fleece forest. There are two water bottles, a food dish that they share, and their hay is next to the pink ducky blanket.
