    Small house! Big cage!

I just finished my 2*4 cage since I thought it is the recommended cage size for two pigs. But now all of my hardwork is going to go in vein because my mom wants the cage to be resized since we don't have enough space at home I am so depressed.. Will 2*3 be enough for the two guys.. I will make a 1*2 first floor too.. I wish I had a big house...

To be honest I think it might be to small. But you need to find a happy medium. Something good for your piggies and something to make your mom happy. Try sitting down and talking with her about it and see if you can come to an agreement.

More room is always better... 2x4 is the recommended minimum for two boars.

If you have two sows, 2x3 is perfectly fine. If you have two boars, it'll be a little tight, but you will still have the minimum. Honestly, though, I wouldn't make a loft *unless* you build an external ramp, because the ramp itself with take up space if it's on the inside.

You need about a 2 by 5 for two boars I'd say. Anything smaller and chances are your boars might fight from lack of space.

Honestly, if your mom refuses to let you make it any bigger, a 2x3 is still a lot better than a pet store cage. Though a 2x4 is the recommended minimum for two boars and a 2x5 is even better. I would definitely not add a loft unless, like brindyzoeycandy said, you build an external ramp because ramps take away space.

2x3 is going to be a little tight. Do you have somewhere in the house you could build it on top of, rather than taking up floor space? Our cage is on top of our dog kennels, which works great. We have 2 - 2x3 cages with a 1x2 breezeway connecting them. one side is their kitchen area, and the other is their play area. They have knocked everything around enough now, they created themselves their perfect race track in there.

Well I'd say make a 2x3 with a 2x3 up top and make doors that come down. I did that with my 2x4 cage for my 3 girls. But if you can at all make an external ramp, do so. Especially with two guys. That way they can still move about. They will also need at least an hour of run time on the floor everyday.
I understand what you are facing I have a teeny house too. I managed a 2x4 but I have no more room for anything else in my room

1 grid wide is not enough space width wise for the piggies. Each grid is approximately 14" wide as well.
