Hello,
So I'm in the process of trying to build ramp. I have some coroplast that I cut into a ramp but obviously they would slip all over the place with nothing to grip on so I'm trying to get some idea of what to use as traction for the ramp. I've seen pictures of people using shelf liner on their ramps. So I was wondering if the pigs chew on it at all? I know it's made out of a rubbery stuff so I'm scared of them eating it.

I use mesh grids for my ramp and then just put fleece over it.

Sorry, I don't know about the shelf liner.

I tried the non-skid shelf liner and had it in the cage for about 10 minutes and the pigs would not stop trying to chew and eat large piece of this and I never tried it again as I was not sure this was ok for them to chew on.

Yeah that's what I was afraid of. And my Archie loves to chew on anything so I'm sure he would eat it too.

I glued some strips of coroplast down for some foot grips in case of any slipping. Some people have used popsicle sticks. Both are the same in theory. Then I put fleece over that to protect their feet which is held on to the ramp with some clips on the sides.

Oh that's a good idea. Would never have thought of popsicle sticks. Thank you!

I went to our local "big box" home improvement store and picked up a cheap carpet sample ($1.99). Then cut into strips as wide as the ramp and it works out great. I locked for carpet that had rubber backing so it stays in place for the most part.
