First, I am new to Guinea Pigs and THANKS to CavyCages.com for all your help.

Today we rescued an eight week old cavy from a VERY bad home. It cost me to rescue her but I would have paid twice to give her a better home. She is in quarentine now. I am not sure how she was watered before but she shows no interest in the water bottle. When we got her home she ate for 30 minutes solid dry food, letuce, carrot, hay and apple. I am just concerned that if she has never seen a water bottle before she might not know how to use one. She is getting fluids from the apple and lettuce so it isn't an emergency, just concerned.

Any thoughts?
