Hay How much Alfalfa hay or none at all?

I bought some Alfalfa hay yesterday and was wondering how much do you give your guinea pigs? Do you give none at all? I have two young guinea pigs. (About 7-9 weeks:sorry I gave them a bit last night and they loved it.
I am a first time guinea pig owner so any tips are very welcome.

While they are under 12 months(you need to check the age) it is fine for them to have alfalfa hay, also when they are pregnant.

Actually it's better to stop giving alfalfa around 6 months. If you are feeding an alfalfa based pellet to young pigs, they really don't need alfalfa hay at all because it's a lot more calcium in the diet.

Are you giving unlimited grass hay and what kind of pellets are you feeding?

I give them loads of hay and I feed them Burgess Exel Nuggets.

I wouldn't give the alfalfa but as a once or twice a week treat, but only a good handful. Your pellets have alfalfa in them.
