Peeling nose

~My friends guinea pig has peeling nose skin. She said it happened when he was a baby pig and they thought maybe he had been sticking his nose in urine or something and it irritated/dried the skin so it would peel off. Then it went away and now its come back (after a year i believe). There is skin hanging off his nose and after he rubs it/it falls off it starts peeling again. It doubt its some kind of sunburn because the pigs are inside for most of the time...but im not going to rule out any helpful advice/comments! What should they do? Thanks

Sounds like it could be a fungus. A vet visit would be in order.
