    Can baby guinea pigs get their heads stuck in the grids of the hay racks?

    Yes, in a the standard 9x9 grid, a baby cavy can fit through them so you need to be careful.

    Well, You can do any number of things if you don't feel comfortable using a bent grid. Personally I use twelve pack coke boxes.

    Pretty simple, Just cut one in half.
    Cut one of the sides off.

    So now you are left with three covered sides and an open top.

    Poke holes in the four corners on the exposed side
    ziptie it to the side of the cage with the exposed side facing the inside and the open top.. facing the top.

    Fill with hay.
