I just wanted to give an update on my best kept secret that I posted more than a year ago.

On January 31, 2021 I adopted this sweet OTTB that I named Tucker

Tucker Then.jpgThis picture was before I adopted him

Tucker amazing 2.jpgAnd this is now

It took a lot of trial and error to figure out the best feeding program for him but I finally did. If anyone out there is interested in racing or knows a bit about it yes he did race and earned a little more the 24k in earnings. Its already September and I cant believe its almost been a year since I officially adopted him and yes I firmly believe in adopting horses over buying them much like guinea pigs. We are having our first clinic in October so fingers crossed he behaves.

scoottie, how did the October clinic go?
Unfortunately he injured himself before we could go so I had to cancel it I am thinking perhaps a new clinic in the future when I get him in more frequent work.

It tore through muscle on both lacerations he will have the stitches for 14 days the vet could stick her whole hand in the one on his chest. After the stitches come out I am going to look into magna wave to help with cell regeneration.

He's on stall rest and he is absolutely hating it. His attitude is coming back to his normal attitude and he is eating his hay with alot more vigor than the last couple of days. He whinnyed to me when he heard my voice when I went to visit him.
