Chewing Do Guinea Pigs ever Swallow?

So I was watching my guinea pigs eat their lettuce and I was wondering, when do they swallow? The veggies just seem to be chomped down without stoping. How in the word do they eat so fast without seeming to pause?

They swallow, it's just not a process you'll be able to see. They eat differently than we do LOL.

Yes, I know that they swallow but how does SO much food get chomped down so fast?!

They DON'T have cheek pouches like hamsters. I guess they find a way to stuff it in there lol.
