Hello! I'm preparing to receive my two new piggy boys 
I'm making my own pea flakes to help with bonding and need help!
1. Can I boil split peas to soften them more quickly? I've seen varying answers on this..
2. Can I dehydrate the whole (technically half.. ) split pea instead of smooshing?
3. Why is there smooshing anyway?
4. Are there any other peas you can either A) dehydrate and use or B) use without dehydrating
