My sweet little potato, Ginger, passed into the great green field last week.

I posted about him occasionally, especially in the health sub forum. He was sick when we got him and stayed sick most of his life. He had several congenital deformities, including microphthalmia, sinus problems, etc.
nevertheless he made it to very nearly 3. I’m proud of him.

He was feisty and sweet and will be deeply missed.

The house has been....soggy (with tears) since he’s been gone.

I am so sorry about Ginger... He loved you from the first second he lay eyes on you, and continues to love you, no matter what. He is at Rainbow Bridge now, with greens of every shape and size.

Ginger- Fly free over the Rainbow Bridge.

I am sorry for your loss.

I understand all too well the pain of losing a beloved pet. Even though you may think you are prepared after a long illness, the pain of loss is hard to shake. Sometimes that loss is even harder to deal with after you have worked so hard to help them keep going.

Take care and I hope you find comfort in this forum.

I am so sorry you lost Ginger. He is at the Rainbow Bridge, eating hay and all the good stuff, and he will never forget you.

My most sincere condolences on the loss of Ginger.

While we all bond with our pigs, I have come to realize that our bonds become deeper with medical pigs. You put so much of your heart and soul into their care that losing them is more than just painful. You feel like a part of yourself is gone too.

You fought for him his entire life. There is no greater love than that.

Enjoy your time at the Rainbow Bridge, Ginger. Plenty of great things to eat, warmth and sun, and furry new friends. The time will fly by until it's time for you to go home with your family one last time.

Rest in peace, little one.
