I was doing a daily check on Brownie today and I noticed a particular area that she had been scratching at. Upon further inspection, I see that there was a red, angry, cyst-thing. It is just above her right shoulder, it is not visible without lifting fur, but when I tried to, she BIT me. This is the first time EVER that she has truly bit me, and I am concerned for that matter

I tried. Thats why she bit me.

Sounds like it might require two of you. One with a good pair of gloves on, and the other to try and get a good picture.

Either way, it sounds like it might be a good idea for a vet visit, but certainly being able to see it would help advise you better.

I finally convinced my parents to take her to a (new) vet and the vet said it was a abscess from a bite. She prescribed something to keep the swelling down and an antibiotic. She said if it does not go away on its own with the medication that they may have to lightly sedate her so they can drain it.

I'm glad you got her in. Keep us updated on her condition. I hope she feels better in no time!

Brownies abscess has healed with the medication. I am genuinely surprised with this new vet. Mama piggy likes her too! Not many vets feed the guinea pigs carrots during exams... :)

My hand did get infected though, its swollen and hurts, its not spreading, and it seems to be shrinking mildly, Been putting neosporin on it too.

Edit: The infection is shrinking, not my hand XD

How long has she been refusing to eat? Have you been weighing her? It sounds to me like she needs a vet ASAP, the gasping is definitely not a good sign.

You don't need Critical Care to force feed her, but you DO need a small animal feeding syringe. You can boil hot water and make a slurry out of her pellets. Just make sure it's thin enough to syringe, and it has to cool.
obviously.

If she's eating nothing else on her own, for now just take 1/8 of a cup of pellets and start with that. You really can't force feed her if she's having trouble breathing. You've got to do your best to find a cavy emergency vet

The syringes you have, they are presumably the 1ml syringe with no needle?

No, like if you have ever been prescribed penicillin or such, that size syringe, but I found something that might work.
