A few members and a moderator of a guinea pig Facebook group I’m in are arguing about feeding guinea pigs broccoli and broccoli leaves.I’ve never fed these to my pigs before (as I don’t know if they can be fed to pigs or not),and I’ve searched in many websites in my languages and some said yes, some said no. Can pigs eat broccoli amd broccoli leaves?

Can they be? Yes. Should they be? They can cause gas and bloating, which can be very serious and even fatal for a pig if not detected and treated. As such, I would not feed them to my pigs.

Broccoli is a cruciferous vegetable, and as such, is gas-producing and can cause serious GI problems, as @Guinea Pig Papa says. Will a little bit of broccoli kill a pig? Probably not. Is it worth risking possible bloat? No way.
