Witchcraft and Guinea Pigs

Hello all! I am a witchcraft practicing neopagan and well...I have a concern. My craft involves a lot of candles and incense and I was just wondering if lighting these things in the same room as the pigs would be a bad idea. Seems to me like the smoke and scents could cause respiratory problems and I have no problem moving my altar to another room. However, I thought I'd go ahead and ask just to make sure before I went ahead and took down my sacred space. Thoughts?

Yes, they can cause problems, and not only in the guinea pigs. You're also at risk. The candles are oil based, and so is the smoke.-- it has chemicals and carcinogens in it. You can google up plenty of references to it.

Definitely move it to a different room to the guinea pigs. Ideally have a door shut between the altar and the guinea pigs, and plenty of ventilation like an open window if possible.
