Question.

I'm thinking of adopting a guinea pig in my area who needs a home. It's a boar (I'm assuming intact). Because I have two boars already, I don't want to try to introduce the newcomer to the other two because I strongly suspect it won't end well. If I go for this new boar, I'm thinking of putting his C&C cage next to my boys' so that the newcomer can be close to other pigs but won't cause fighting. However, I'm worried that this won't work; my boar Mercury is pretty chill, but Ziggy is hormonal and uptight, and I worry that Ziggy won't like having another pig nearby. Is this a valid concern?

It can be a valid concern. There's no way to know how the pigs will react until you try it.

You'd be more likely to be successful to have another pair of pigs in a cage, and place the cages apart from each other.
