I introduced my two guinea pigs back in May of last year and they got along great back then. But in the past two weeks, they've been doing a lot of teeth-chattering, rumble strutting and nose-offs, almost acting like they were first introduced. I've been keeping a close eye but they don't seem to be biting nor do I see any injuries. I'm really concerned because the more dominant one chases the shy one away from the water bottles and the hay rack, so I'm worried that it isn't getting enough nutrients and water. Is there anyway to help this? I have then in a 2x4 C&C. I'm not sure on their ages but I think the shyer one is about 2 years old and the more dominant is about 14 months old, so I don't think that it's puberty. I'm trying to think of ways to help accommodate them, arranging furniture to build a bigger cage or to change the hay rack. I just really want to avoid having to separate these girls. Anybody have any tips or have gone through something similar?
