Hi Guys, just found out that the Storage Cubes that Argos were selling have now been discontinued. There were in their Spring/Summer 2006 cataloguie, but are no longer in the Autum/Winter one (as the link (broken link removed) shows - item not found). However, the catalogue number 875/9384 is still valid instore and I was able to get a pack of cubes today - there were only 2 left in that store though!! So hurry if you want them from Argos as there may be some clearance stock left (They sold for £19.99 but are now £9.99).

£7.99...and I got one pack from Robert May 18 months ago at £22.70 something. Huh. Are the Argos ones plastic coated, Lorna/Jaggz?

Laura my first ones I got off ebay and they cost me the best part of £30. I wouldn't say the Argos ones were plastic coated - it's more like painted, though it's a sort of plasticy paint - if that makes any sense.. I have a set of plastic coated ones and they are very cheap looking (ironic, considering they were the expensive ones) and flimsy-looking in comparison to the Argos ones.

Interesting. Thanks Lorna! Love your avatars - the iPig one was so cute and Bonnie's lickle lips are so adorable!

They are grey silver paint. This makes the grid look thinner and I think easier to see through into the cage to see out pigs. The connectors are black. They are also 14 ½ inch square grids. Hope this helps.

Hi, I am new to forums and how they work. Started reading about all these people asking about cubes ect.
Why, what are they used for?

Forgive me for being a bit dim.

I think you meant promoting, but yes, that's it exactly. The cubes that they are talking about are the grid panels we use to build the sides of our cages. On the packaging, it describes making storage cubes out of them.

The cubes at Argos are being sold off as they are discontinued. If you search all your local stores via the website you might find some. We needed more than one pack and had to go to two stores as each one had only one pack left.

you can reserve the cubes from argos on their website and they'll send you a mail or txt when they arrive, i recently got 4 boxes worth for about £32, they were extremely heavy but well worth it for the piggies

There were 2 packs left in the Argos I went to the other day. I got one. I would have got both but we were out shopping and one was even too heavy to carry without stopping every few minutes!

Could you go and get another pack another day? They might reserve one for you...

Yeah I could but the place where I got it isn't somewhere we go often and they only reserve it for 2 or 3 days.

I have just bought mine from Argos (yesterday). Paste this link into your browser. If it doesn't work the item number is 8759384 and it is £7.99 for 24 grids. Fantastic value for money - it was originally £19.99 and this is a clearance price so stocks are dwindling fast. Get online now.

Regards
Linda

Did it this morning Linda - the nearest Argos to stock them is a good 3 hour journey away. I rang my local shop to see if they'd send them there - but they don't do that with bulky items. Am gutted! My mind is busy with new extension plans, and another box, at £7.99 would have been fantastic!

Really pleased you got yourself a set though! :)

My local argos has 4 boxes left but I am not allowed to get more! :guilty: I just found LOADS in my local B&Q for £19.98 for 24 grids, now why didn't they have them when I needed them!
