I just got my cubes through Counters Direct ( (broken link removed) -already mentioned on the first page of this thread, just under a different name-great company by the way), and it cost me just over £70 (including £15 shipping) for 21, 12"x16" stainless steel grids, and 40 connectors.

They're excellent quality (very sturdy too), although the holes in the grids are a little larger than recommended on here (just under 2" instead of the prefered 1.5").

What are the cubes from Argos like? It's a bit late for me if they're just as good as what I have, but it's handy to know for future reference.

I have the Argos cubes too.. they're fantastic. Nice colour and very sturdy. Their having a half price sale on the cubes at the moment. £9.99 for 24grids! (Now why didn't they do that when I brought them!)

Mind if I ask a few questions?

Are they metal or plastic?

What colour are they?

What size are the holes in the grid?

And, finally, do Argos deliver?

Thanks. :)

They are solid metal with a plastic coating - a silvery grey colour. I haven't measured them but the holes are probably about 1.5" wide. You can buy them online via CCC's link and delivery is £4.95. They are also £9.99 on the website so that would be less than the usual retail price including delivery!

Would you guys say that the Argos cubes are suitable for tiny piggies? I hope to get a C&C cage together in the next few days.

No, but you can make the correx (though I use lino) walls higher so that the babies cannot get stuck in the gaps. I'm sure there's a link for babyproofing cages so I will try and find it unless someone else comes along who knows it!

Thanks - yeah, I saw a picture in the gallery where someone had added an extra part on each side. Now I know it's necessary I'll try to find something suitable.
