    laying outside huts?

My guinea pigs used to only sleep in their huts but now they have started sleeping outside in the bigger area of their cage. Is this normal? Should I be worried?

    Re: laying outside huts?

As long as the inside of their huts are clean, and your piggies are acting normal / healthy in every other way, this is only good news! It's entirely normal and means they trust you, feel safe, and are relaxed enough with their surroundings to sleep out in the open. My piggies sleep out of their huts all the time; legs kicked out with their heads resting on the ground and everything. One of mine even sleeps on the roof of his hut!
