    Butter Lettuce?

For the past six months, to try to keep their calcium intake down, I've had my boys eating red leaf lettuce, which they've really enjoyed. However, red leaf lettuce is hard to find around here, and lately the heads have been tiny and/or rotten. To try to solve this problem, I'm thinking of switching to butter lettuce, which is a lot easier to find. Is butter lettuce just as nutritious as red leaf lettuce, or is there another kind I should use?
