I just wanted to put this out there as something to be aware of:

My piggies LOVE toy balls--- wicker, seagrass,etc---and I'm always careful to get all natural ones with no wire or anything dangerous. They had chewed one down to about the third of the size... And an hour later Friar Tuck came prancing up to me with two loops of wicker stuck around his neck! Thankfully it was pretty loose, he was totally unharmed, and remarkably unfazed by it. But it scared me it could have happened when I wasn't home and he could have been choked or hurt.

From now on I'll always be sure to take the balls away when they're chewed down that much, or bend the pieces left so they're straight. The wicker balls especially--- once they've been eaten away they're really just stiff, springy loops like a Slinky toy. I don't mean wicker balls are bad, because my piggies enjoy them more than any other toy, but wanted to share this as something to watch out for :)
