Hello, we currently have two six month old female guinea pigs that we got from a rescue a couple of months ago. They have a 4x2 c&c cage. We are going on vacation later this summer, and while I hope to get a pet sitter to gone to our house, we may need to board them. With our previous pig, we had a smaller cage we used to board her (39” by 18”), but she was a singleton (rescued as a senior pig who had always lived alone). What is the minimum size cage we would need for our two for a week? Would the Midwest be big enough?

They get along pretty well, with some periodic rumbling and cranking.

It depends on the pigs as to whether or not they'll get along in a smaller cage. If you have to board them, is there any possibility of just moving the 4x2 cage?

I’m not sure if it would fit there, but that’s definitely something to ask about. Thank you!
