    Please give advice

Our piggy Qui-Hon has a sunken eye on the right side. He is still eating and drinking great. Ge blinks his eye the vet didn't seem to worried they did prescribe tobramyiacin. It seems to have helped some but the eye is still sunken. They did a corneal stain there was no visible damage. Has anyone experienced this with their pigs before?

Has he always had it? Or is this recent? Do you know if he injured the eye?

You might find some info here: http://www.guinealynx.info/eyes.html

We just noticed it last Friday. I'm not sure if it's an injury nothing looks damaged he still blinks his eye and has it open.

If it just happened, it's almost certainly an injury, possibly an infection. And I think he's probably in pain -- eye conditions often are painful.

Was this an exotic vet that you saw? If not, I'd find one and take him in so that someone with GP experience can evaluate him.

I took him to the vet on Monday and they didn't seem too concerned since he still has his eye open and blinking. They prescribed us tobramyiacin which I've been putting on 3 times daily. It's the weirdest thing the original eye seems to be getting somewhat better but now the other eye is starting like it's going to do the same thing. He's drinking and eating normal.

What kind of vet? Small animal vets are trained to treat dogs and cats, not exotic pets, and some of them can be downright dangerous.

She works with small exotics as well.
