I am so sorry. I was hoping for a turnaround, but perhaps Sugar was just too tired.

Rest in peace, Sugar. You will be at peace at the Rainbow Bridge with all of your new friends.

Thanks. It was a more complex issue than the vet he was seeing knew. I was finally able to locate an emergency vet for guinea pigs far from where I live and they told me he had a kidney stone (which the first vet said he didn't have) and pneumonia. Wish the vet had been able to do something about it

Thanks everyone. I feel really guilty and horrible about what happened. I wish I had done things differently. I wish I had gotten him to the emergency vet sooner. I keep thinking about it over and over. Maybe if I had gotten him to the emergency vet when he first got sick he'd still be here today recovering from a kidney stone operation. But I took him to his normal vet twice and they misdiagnosed what was wrong. I shouldn't have trusted that vet and now I can never make it right.
