So, the title pretty much speaks for itself.

BUT I'm going to explain...
My guinea pig Honey is sisters with my other pig, Sweetheart. You'd think they'd be really close? No.
They have a ramp going up to their food dish and whenever I pour out some pellet mix for the both of them, Honey doesn't let Sweetheart have any.
Other days, Sweetheart rumble-struts and bites Honey. And on some days, my guinea pigs love each other, I'M REALLY CONFUSED!!!!
I really have no explanation for this, please help me out and let me know what is going on...

@Piggielifexoxo, pick a thread and make that the thread for your pigs. I can change the title to anything you like. But please don't keep starting new threads -- it makes it hard for people to keep up with what's going on with your pigs.

How large is your cage? And how old are your pigs?

It sounds like one or both is in heat. If this behavior happens only every 14-16 days, that's probably what it is. But it can be aggravated by a cage that is too small or that has too much or the wrong kind of furniture.

Sorry, it's my first time in a forum, I'm really sorry. How do you delete them?
+My guinea pigs are about 7-8 months old
+The cage is about 110cm by 36cm (I'm getting a bigger one soon though)

It sounds like they just are feeling a little cramped. Their current cage is much too small as I am sure you are aware. I saw in your other thread you are getting a 2x5 c&c for them, once that comes it might help them not be quite so annoyed with each other at times as when they feel a bit fed up they will be able to get away from each other.

You can't delete your threads or posts, and you have 10 minutes after you post to make any edits but after that you can't make any more changes, only the admins or moderators can do things like that. If you ever want something like the title of a thread changed/threads merged/edits to be made after 10 minutes you can nicely ask a mod/admin if they could do that for you.

Thanks! As you are aware, this is my first forum, so I need to get used to things. And don't worry, I'm ordering their cage today, and I might get a 2x6 instead :). The whole thing will be complete in about a month because I need to get the fleece bedding and some hideys!
(I may sound like I don't care about my pigs but I love them! I'm working hard to give them the proper care and use this forum correctly)

Don't worry. Most of us made more than a few mistakes when we first got our guinea pigs.

If you didn't care about them you wouldn't be here asking questions and trying to improve how you care for them.

If you did get a 2x6 it would allow you enough space to expand your herd if you want to. A 2x6 can fit 3 or 4 female guinea pigs. Just make sure the cage will fit in the space you want to put it in, as a 2x6 C&C is almost 2 metres long.

There is plenty of room in my lounge room, which helps them socialise with my family.

I would love to expand my herd as well. I'm trying to look for adoptable piggies that are near my area.

I'm looking more towards the 2x4 cage, it's just under $100 but it provides enough space for them, would that be enough for 3 pigs? Some websites say that it is for 1-2 and others say it is for 2-3... (I'm adding a loft with a ramp)

A 2x4 is the ideal size for 2 sows. If you want 3 a 2x5 should be the minimum size you should be looking at.

However the great thing about C&C cages is you can always expand them later. However with shipping taken into account it would probably work out to be cheaper to get the size you actually want from the start rather than expand later. Lofts are much less important than actual cage space so if money is a factor you can always just skip the loft, none of my cages have lofts.

Another thing I’d say is to have two of everything - bowl, hides, bottles. Hopefully they should settle down once they’re in a bigger cage. Prepare to watch their zoomies

Do you have a tracking number? If not have you tried contacting where you bought it from?
