Re: Paper towels are helpful for bedding
I use layers of white towels under the fleece. Absorbant and doesn't smell quickly and I can see if there's any trouble with their urine and need to be on alert

Re: Paper towels are helpful for bedding
Could someone please help me?
My guinea pigs have chewed quite a bit of the burlap flags (not the decorations or the glue) is that toxic for them?

It can cause an intestinal blockage. Just take the decorations out.

Keep an eye out for if they keep pooping in the next day to two days. If they stop, take them to a vet. If they keep pooping like normal, everything is fine.
There was a light burlap bag that dropped next to the cage and my piggies chewed a few holes in it. But they kept pooping so they were fine.

I'll keep an eye out for them, they've been pooping like normal and they haven't chewed any more since I put the deco out of reach for them

Re: Paper towels are helpful for bedding
Anyone that sees this: both of my guinea pigs squeal in pain if i brush the fur on their bottoms, up. I dont do it intentionally but i have done it acidentally a couple of times. Are all guinea pigs like this or do mine need to go to the vet?

You're brushing their fur in the wrong direction, if I'm reading your post correctly. No pig likes to be stroked opposite to the direction their fur grows. Sounds perfectly normal to me.
