I know it is a terrible idea to get a Guinea pig by itself but would that be fine if I am planning on getting another one in the future? I am planning on taking it out often and giving it attention for a couple hours a day.

I know how much you want a guinea pig.

But if you want to give it the best home, why not wait until you can give him (or her) everything they need? For a couple hours a day, the pig will have you. Don't forget that pigs live short lives compared to ours, and 22 hours a day alone is like a couple of weeks alone to him.

Quoting my boy Sly's veterinarian, "A month is a LONG time in the life of a guinea pig". Do yourself and your future pig a favour and wait.
