Possible mites and not drinking as frequently

Hello! I have been given a pig from a petshop (her name is coco and shes the youngest)!and she was by herself in the area where they kept the pigs. Ive had her since November 8th but as recent as yesterday ive noticed a scab on her ear and more scratching than usual. I tried to check my other guinea pigs fur, shes not completely tame so she moved around a lot, and i saw nothing but she had left quite a bit more fur on my pants than usual. Theres no real external showing yet on either of my piggies, but i do feel as though coco may have had mites. Not an infestation but at least a few. Recently my oldest pig died from old age and i feel as though that and the possible mites is making them have low energy and not drinking as much water? Both the piggies I have now are both under a year and im just worried. A vet would be quite costly and i just need some advice! Thank you!

Mites have nothing to do with how much water a pig drinks or how much energy they have. A pig that has any significant colony of mites will be scratching, often pretty insistently

The scab could be because she's scratched herself, or because another pig has nibbled her ear. How many pigs are in the cage, and what size is it?

Oh thats a relief, i did have three female pigs but since the oldest passed I only have two atm! The cage is pretty sizeable, about 7 feet long and 4 feet wide. Should i wait a bit longer for more noticeable signs?

    That's a great size for a cage.

Can you post a well-lit, close-up picture of the scab?

I don't see any scab -- the picture isn't close enough. But if she's acting normally, I wouldn't worry about it. Just keep an eye on it.
