I never post on here but have frequenctly referred to this forum for help with our piggos over the years, so it feels right to post something. Our sweetheart Aiden had to be put down today. He had had a mass growing on his side that we surgically removed. The surgery went fine, but we think that he had a stroke afterwards. He couldn't move around or really use his feet at all, and he kept curling up into a ball and breathing heavily. For a guinea pig as explorative and pysical as he was, we just couldn't justify it when his condition kept getting worse. He lived a good long life to the healthy age of seven years.
He's never been the most affectionate of piggos but he knew we loved him, and used that love to extort as many veggies out of us as he could. We'll always love him.
So many blurry photos of him, he really was always on the move.
