This is Lacey, who turned 2 in July. I adopted her in May 2017 from the local humane society. I was actually there to look at adoptable dogs when I decided to take a walk through the small animal room. She came out of her pigloo and stood up to see who I was. I kept thinking about how cute and social she was. The next day I went back and adopted her. The humane society has a little store so I bought a used cage and they have Oxbow pellets and hay. As a birthday gift, my husband offered to buy a nicer cage, so we got a large one with a loft from a big box pet store. Of course I later learned that this was not large enough, so I built a playpen from grids and made a wood floor with a frame around it. I lined it with waterproof mattress cover fabric and made blankets from fleece. I have a number of hideys and toys and I love watching her explore her playpen when I rearrange things.
