Hello all,
This is my very first post and I have been a piggy mom for only 2 weeks, I love my sweet girl very much and I am still learning the ropes I watch many videos and frequent this forum. I just noticed today that Coco's feet looked different I have googled and look through posts is this bumblefoot? I am so very sad and scared am I not fit to own a guinea pig? was I not generous enough in the bedding? She has a plastic bottom cage not wire which I know is very bad. I have had her 2 weeks and cut her nails once I am cutting them again tomorrow when my mom gets home from her vacation she helped me the first time. I am very sorry I do not know how to post on forums this is my first. I feel like it looks bad and it is bumblefoot :-(((

Others will soon probably chime in, but this link might help you in diagnosing.

Here are some other links to help you get started.

Also, from the photo, that cage is very small. We never recommend piggies being in petstore cages, as they need lots of room for zooms and their daily exercise.

Try pulling the layer of skin off, if it peels off it might just be dead skin. When my pigs had dead skin on their feet I thought it was bumblefoot too but after pulling the skin off I learned it was just dead skin. If it doesn't peel off at all then it might be bumblefoot but from the looks of your picture its just dead skin. Also check her back feet and under the little flap of skin on the bottom of her back feet.
