Today, I got my guinea pigs new pelleted food because they were running low. They are both 5 1/2 mo, so I got the Oxbow guinea pig pelleted food for adult guinea pigs (adult is defined on the package as 6 mo and over). Much to my dismay, they aren?t eating the new pellets! Is there any way of having them eat the new pellets? I have tried positive reinforcement and making it smell like their treats, but they just don?t want it.

They'll get over it.

There are two schools of thought on changes in pellets. One, do it cold turkey, and let them adjust. Two, gradually decrease the bad pellets and increase the good ones until you're no longer feeding the bad ones. People have success with both methods, so take your choice.
