    Guinea Pig toys and entertainment

What are some good toys I could get for my 4 year old guinea pig. He has chewables and a bell dangling, but I don't think he plays with it (at least not when I'm around). He also has two balls for cats but I don't think he plays w/ them either. Does anybody have any good suggestions for a toy Giney might want to play with.

Most guinea pigs don't play with toys.

The best "toy" for a guinea pig is another guinea pig.

Ditto what pigmommy89 said! Guinea pigs really do better with another buddy, just make sure your cage is big enough for two!

For enrichment you can take a paper towel tube and fill it with hay and/or veggies. Don't be surprised if your guinea pig eats the tube too, my guinea pigs love to munch on theirs. I just make sure I use paper towel tube because it usually doesn't have glue on it.

Smallpetselect.com (where I order their hay) also has some nice chewable hanging ?toys?. Mine tore through the wood one I got them in the first few days of hanging it.

Since my guinea pig is 4, will he adjust to having another guinea pig because he loves being the center of attention? And I don't know if my parents would let me have another one. If I did get one, should I get another 4 year old or a younger one?
